Remove and install

Disconnect the negative battery cable

Remove the radiator

Remove the fan hydrodynamic coupling

Remove bolt cap, with the filter element of the oil filter housing

 When removing the filter cap, the oil will flow to the oil sump.



Drain the engine oil

Remove head front cover

Remove ribbed belt

Remove high pressure pump

Remove water pump

Remove anti-vibration pulley

Remove hydraulic power steering pump

Remove the air conditioning compressor of the distribution housing cover and put it sideways with the mounted pipes

Remove the distribution housing cover alternator and place it laterally with the mounted electric cables

Remove oil sump

Remove coolant hose (8) in the heat exchanger

 Examine the condition of hose and clamps, replace if necessary.

Unscrew head bolts (4) on the distribution housing cover (1)



Unscrew bolts (3) and remove the distribution housing cover (1)

Install: Clean sealing surfaces. Replace rubber gasket (2). Observe the guide pins (turn signal).



Indications for sealant application in the distribution housing cover

Install:Apply sealant on the sealing surface of the distribution housing cover.

 Examine the head gasket and replace it if required. 

Remove and install the head.

Replace the front seal of the crankshaft (5)

Transfer the tensioning device for ribbed belt (6)

 Only in cases where it is required to replace the distribution housing.



Transfer the water-oil heat exchanger (7)

 Only in cases where it is required to replace the distribution housing.
