1 | Detach ground lines from batteries | Insulate clamping device of the ground line in order to prevent inadvertent contact with the ground point of the battery. | |
2 | Disconnect the electrical connector (L) at the ME-SFI control unit (N3/10) | ||
3 | Disconnect electrical connectors (9, 10) | ||
4.1 | Disconnect cable tie (7) and electrical connector (8) on ABC suction restrictor valve (Y86/1) | Vehicles with Active Body Control (Code 487) only. | |
5 | Unlatch connectors for O2 sensors (G3/3x1, G3/4x1, G3/5x1, G3/6x1) from retaining clamps and disconnect | Unclip electric leads from retaining clips. | |
6 | Remove bolt (1d) and remove ground strap (49) from rear engine mount | | |
7 | Remove shield (105g) and disconnect connector for electronic transmission control (16) | ||
8 | Remove cable ties (11a) and disconnect electrical connector (11) | ||
9 | Detach shield (3a) and remove protective cap (3b) | ||
10 | Detach electrical lines (3) | | |
11 | Install in the reverse order | ||
12 | Read out fault memory and erase if necessary | STAR DIAGNOSIS diagnosis system | |
| Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory |
