Removal, installation and replacement

Relieve pressure in fuel tank

Open tank cap

Clamp off fuel suction hose (53) and fuel pressure hose (52)



Do not clamp fuel suction hose where hose curves.

Disconnect fuel pressure hose (52) from fuel filter (55)

 Counter hold double threaded fitting

Remove fuel filter

Install new fuel filter (55) with plastic foil (56)

 Install plastic foil so that it extends on both sides of the holder (2)
Direct contact between the holder and fuel filter can lead to contact corrosion.

Note
When installing pay attention to the rotation lock on the plastic collar.

 Danger!

Accident hazard resulting from vehicle starting to move by itself with engine running. Danger of injury resulting from pinching and burning when reaching in during the starting operation or with the engine running.

Secure vehicle against starting to move unintentionally.
Work on vehicle only with appropriate work clothes.
