Transmission fault which effects the exhaust, fault code description, ME
Supply voltage for rpm sensors
1
Fault code
( Readout on generic scan tool)
1765 Voltage too low (P0642)
1769 Voltage too high (P0643)
2
Fault storage
Immobilizer indicator lamp
- Engine diagnosis (EURO4)
- CHECK ENGINE (MIL)
After expiry of test duration and fault
- No actuation
- After two successive driving cycles with faults
3
Checking frequency
Continuous
4
Checked signal or status
Voltage supply 5 V for
- Turbine speed sensor (Y3/8n1)
- Internal speed sensor (Y3/8n2)
- Output speed sensor (Y3/8n3)
5
Fault setting conditions
Voltage too low
Voltage too high
Checking duration
- Fault if the voltage is lower than 4,5 volts.
- Fault if the signal voltage is greater than 5,5 volts.
Less than 1 second
6
Check prerequisites
Voltage supply on control unit for fully integrated transmission control
greater than 8.5 V.
7
Faults are detected by the transmission control unit and reported via the CAN data bus to the ME control unit. The faults are stored and the "CHECK ENGINE" malfunction indicator lamp is activated by the ME-SFI control unit.
Read out fault memory for the transmission and perform remedying measures.
