 Installation: Do not use (36) again.
Use new rivet.

Hand riveter

If cabinet (5) is replaced.



Drill hole for rivet on mounting rail (37).

If cabinet (5) is replaced.

Drill hole of bolt (36) for rivet on mounting rail (37).

Remove mounting rail (37) for rear headliner

Remove bolt (1)

On these vehicles two bolts (1) are installed.

Detach sealing frame on liftgate in area of paneling (2)

 Installation: Ensure that sealing frame is seated correctly on liftgate.

Unscrew screw/bolt (3)

Remove bolt (6)

Loosen clamp (8) and remove hose (9) from shutoff valve (13)

Remove screws (10)

Unscrew knob (16) on guide rod (12) of shutoff valve (13)

Release lock (11) on guide rod (12)

Remove guide rod (12) from shutoff valve (13) and remove from passage (15) toward front

 Installation: Ensure that grommet (15) is seated correctly.

Unscrew bolts (17) and remove bracket (14)

 Collect fluid which runs out.

Disconnect electrical connector from fresh water fill level sensor (B146/2)

Disconnect electrical connector for fresh water pump

Detach kitchenette and pivot into vehicle interior until the connections on the fresh water tank (7) are accessible

Remove 230 V feed socket from freshwater connector (26)

Loosen hose clamp (24) from fresh water tank (7)

Remove fresh water filling hose (25) from fresh water tank (7)

Remove overflow hose (28) from fresh water connection (26)

Remove front bracket (32)

Remove rear bracket (34)

Remove clothes rail (33)

Slightly pull cabinet (5) toward, then pivot into vehicle interior at top and remove


Carefully remove cabinet (5).
Danger of damaging components in repair area.

 Installation: Ensure that all lines are routed correctly in the area of the cabinet (5).

Transfer detachable parts on cabinet (5)

When replacing cabinet (5).

Remove fresh water tank (7)

When replacing cabinet (5).

Shorten fitting on fresh water tank (7).

Install in the reverse order
