3 | Remove coolant line (10) from retaining clamps on the fan cowl | ||
4 | Remove crossmember | ||
5 | Remove front end crossmember (2) | To do this remove screw/bolts (3) and swivel front end crossmember (2) out of the working area. | |
6 | Remove air duct segments (15) | Engine 651 | |
Installation: Check for correct seating. | |||
7 | Remove screw/bolt (5) | TRANSMISSION 722.9 | |
8 | Remove oil cooler (4) | TRANSMISSION 722.9 | |
To do so, release catch hooks, unhook oil cooler (4) and swivel out of working area. | |||
9 | Disconnect electrical connection (16) | ENGINE 274 | |
10 | Remove air duct segment (17) | ENGINE 274 | |
To do so, release the locks (18). | |||
Installation: Make sure air duct segment (17) is correctly seated in guides (arrows). | |||
11 | Unfasten condenser and swivel out of the working area |

The condenser is not completely removed. Do not suction off refrigerant. | |||
12 | Remove charge air hoses from charge air cooler (6) | ||
13 | Disconnect electrical connection (7) | ||
14 | Remove electrical wiring harness (8) from the fan cowl | ||
15 | Remove coolant hoses (9, 11) from radiator | ||
16 | Remove coolant lines (10, 12) at radiator | ||
17 | Remove locks (14) | ||
18 | Remove bracket (13) | To do this turn bracket (13) through 90° and remove upwards. | |
19 | Remove coolant lines (10, 12) from fan cowl | ||
20 | Remove radiator (1) | Lift out radiator (1) together with charge air cooler (6) upwards. | |
21 | Modify existing detachable parts | Only when replacing the radiator (1). | |
22 | Install in the reverse order | ||
