Remove oil sump

Loosen the bracket (1, 2) from the oil suction pipe (3), removing from the engine block

Remove the oil suction pipe (3) from the oil pump (4)

Remove the oil overpressure valve (5) with the protective cap (6) from the oil pump (4)

Collect the drained motor oil.

Remove the oil pump (4) from the engine block

Test

Inspect the oil pump (4) for wear

Disassemble the oil pump (4) only in case of complaint about very low oil pressure:

Disassemble and assemble the oil pump (4).

Inspect the oil overpressure valve (5) for chips and foreign bodies, then press the piston (5.1) inwards and check for free movement and the spring force

The oil overpressure valve (5) cannot be disassembled. In case of complaint, replace the oil overpressure valve (5).

Clean and inspect the filter sieve on the oil suction pipe (3)

In case of damage, replace the oil suction pipe (3).

Installing

Clean the sealing surfaces using a lint-free cloth

Remove the oil pump (4) from the engine block

Remove the oil overpressure valve (5) with the protective cap (6) from the oil pump (4)

Remove the oil suction pipe (3) from the oil pump (4)

Install: Replace the gasket.

Install the bracket (1, 2) on the engine block

Screw the bracket (1, 2) to the oil suction pipe (3)

Install the oil sump
