M1 Starter

	Remove and install
Danger!	Risk of injuries and damages when tilting and returning the vehicle's cabin	Make sure that the cabin tilting and returning area is free of objects and people. Tilt the cabin up to its final tilting position. Return the cabin up to its correct locking in the work position.	AS60.80-B-0001-01A
1.1	Tilt the cabin	Trucks with engine 457.922/928.	AR60.80-B-0010C
1.2	Remove the engine hood inside the vehicle's cabin	Trucks with engine 457.931.	AR88.40-B-3000B
1.3	Remove the engine side access cover	Buses with engines 457.907/908/909/925/927/929. Refer to body maker instructions.
2	Turn off the main switch or disconnect the negative battery cable
3	Remove the nut (3) and disconnect the power cables (4) from the starter (M1)
4	Disconnect the electric cable (5)
5	Remove the nuts (1) and disconnect the electric cables (2) from the stud (6)		*BA15.30-B-1001-01H
6	Remove starter (M1)	Check the starter for eventual wear. If necessary, repair the starter.
		Check the flywheel ring gear for eventual wear. Replace it, if necessary.	AR03.30-B-8312D
		Install: Lubricate the starter pinion and the flywheel ring gear with a long lasting grease.	*BR00.45-B-1004-06A
7	Install in reverse order
