Quickly heat-up the ring gear (2) and remove it with pressure.

While heating up with the welding torch, avoid a non moving flame on the ring gear.

Measure the diameter of the ring gear seat on the flywheel

Heat-up the new ring gear (2).

Heat-up the new ring gear (2) until it reaches the recommended installation temperature.

The heating is not to be carried out with a welding torch.

Install the new ring gear (1) on the flywheel (2)

For the perfect seating of the ring gear, utilize a copper dowel or a press with appropriate bases.

Interference fit of the ring gear (2) on the flywheel (1).

After installing the ring gear on the flywheel check the maximum permissible ring gear lateral run-out.

Install the flywheel.
