Be sure the space at front of vehicle is enough and that it is clear of objects and people. Tilt the hood until the safety rod latches it in the open position.

Be sure the cab tilting and returning area is clear of objects and people. Tilt the cab to its final position. Return the cab to its correct latching in the operating position.

Open the engine access cover

Remove the engine hood inside the vehicle cab

Trucks with 384.8, 694.8, 696.8 cab.

When removing the cover of cylinder heads 5 and 6.

Unscrew the bolts (1)

Metal made cover

Plastic made cover

*BA01.20-B-1002-01B

Remove the cover (2) and the gasket (3)

Installing: Clean the sealing surfaces and replace the gasket (3).

Install in reverse order.
