As part of the service fix (Check gas cylinder (code: T1NGASDRU, Acc. No.: 47 920 60)), the installed gas cylinders must be replaced if necessary.
The gas cylinders that were originally installed with the corresponding valves were checked according to the German Ordinance on Pressure Vessels (DruckbehV) and are no longer available.
As the German Ordinance on Pressure Vessels (DruckbehV) was replaced by the ECE policy 110 (Fundamentals for the type-approval certificate of standard natural gas manufacturer vehicles, as well as the approval of the specific component parts in general) on 12.08.2004, the need arose to revert to a gas cylinder that is approved according to the ECE policy 110.
An expert opinion for design approval has been created for this, which certifies the safety-related equivalence to the gas cylinder/valve that was originally installed.
Once the installation has been performed, the change must be approved via an individual acceptance by the testing organizations (The Technical Inspection Association (TÜV)/Dekra) according to the German vehicle licensing regulations (StVZO) § 19.2 and then entered into the vehicle documents by the road authorities. If this is neglected, the General Operating Permit for the affected vehicle expires!
Process/procedure:
Important note All work on the natural gas system may only be performed by personnel specially trained to do so.
Installation of the gas cylinder as per service fix work instructions SM47.10-D-0029SG - see Workshop Information System (WIS).
Fill natural gas system completely. The costs for filling with the natural gas operating fluid are to be paid upon presentation of the receipt by the customer. If it is necessary to bring the monovalent vehicle to a natural gas station and back, the associated expenses can be submitted through ancillary costs under the accounting number no.: 47 920 60.
Perform gas system test (GAP) (Visual check, function test, leak test).
Fill out natural gas system installation certificate (Attachment 5 in the test report). Stick gas system test monitoring mark in test report. The responsible person signs the natural gas system installation certificate.
Presentation of the vehicle at the testing station with the following documents: -> Completed natural gas system installation certificate (Attachment 5 in the test report) -> Printout of pages 1 to 5 of the test report (Page 3 contains a text suggestion for changing the motor vehicle registration certificate part I) -> Motor vehicle registration certificate part 1 (Vehicle registration certificate). Important Note: This is an individual acceptance registration as per § 19.2 German Regulations Authorising the Use of Vehicles for Road Traffic (StVZO). This type of acceptance may only be carried out by "officially recognized appraisers". Only the Technical Inspection Association (TÜV) (in the old federal states) and DEKRA (in the new federal states) have these sovereign powers for the individual acceptance as per § 19.2 StVZO. The costs for the individual acceptance can be submitted through ancillary costs under accounting number no.: 47 920 60.
With the motor vehicle registration certificate part 1 (vehicle registration certificate), the motor vehicle registration certificate part 2 (certificate of ownership) and the inspection report of the technical inspection station, the technical modifications must then be entered into the vehicle documents at the road authorities. The authority visit is preferably carried out by personnel of the repair workshop (admissions service) or by the customer himself/herself (reimbursement of the costs to the customer upon presentation of receipt). The costs for changing the vehicle documents can be submitted through ancillary costs under accounting number no.: 47 920 60.
Additional operations that are related to the service fix (for example any necessary replacements of protective grilles, tensioning straps, holders, etc.) can be submitted through ancillary costs under accounting number no.: 47 920 60.
