The molded elastomer parts (PUR foam) previously bonded to the air recirculation cover on the radiator and charge air cooler have been replaced by a screwed-on air recirculation cover.
If complaints are submitted, screwed-on shields with riveted-on sealing lips can be fitted as per the following work instructions.
The series production breakpoint for this optimization measure was as of end no. 208609.

2 | Remove front paneling | Open both catches. | |
3 | Remove all four molded elastomer parts (1) from charge air cooler (2) and radiator (3) | ||
4 | Remove bracket (4) | Bracket is no longer (4) required. | |
5 | Remove adhesive residue from charge air cooler (2) and radiator (3) | ||
6 | Remove all upper bolts (5) together with sheet metal nuts (6) | The bolts (5) and sheet metal nuts (6) are no longer required. | |
7 | Attach air recirculation covers to charge air cooler (2) and radiator (3) | ||
8 | Attach front paneling | Fasten both catches. | |
9 | Close engine hood | ||
