Function
The hazard flasher switch (S6/1s1) is connected to the driver-side signal acquisition and actuation module (SAM) (N10/1) via a discrete line. When the hazard flasher switch (S6/1s1) is actuated, the corresponding input on the driver-side signal acquisition and actuation module (SAM) (N10/1) is connected to ground through the switch. The driver-side signal acquisition and actuation module (SAM) (N10/1) then actuates all turn signal lamps at a frequency of approx. 1.5 Hz. In addition the LED's for the hazard

signal indicator lamps in the instrument cluster (A1) as well as the audible turn signal indicator are actuated by the driver-side signal acquisition and actuation module (SAM) (N10/1) via discrete lines.

Hazard flashing is possible with the ignition/starter switch in any position.

Bulb failure is not recognized during the hazard flasher function!
