GF07.52-S-4009A | PEC synchronizing fuel injection and firing order function | 23.4.99 |
ENGINE 111 in MODEL 638
S07.52-3019-06
Task
Determining (synchronizing) the fuel injection and firing order of the fuel injectors (Y16 - Y19) and the ignition coils (R9, R39) when the engine is started
Features
– The fuel injectors are combined into 2 groups (Y16+Y19 and Y17+Y18) in respect of actuation and are actuated twice by the PEC control module (A13) during each cycle (720° crank angle).
– The ignition coils (R9, R39) supply ignition voltage to 2 spark plugs each (E83+E86, E84+E85) and are actuated twice by the PEC control module (A13) during each cycle (720° crank angle).

Function
The PEC control module (A13) analyzes the signal (a) supplied by the crankshaft position sensor (B73) and detects cylinders 1+4 and 2+3 on the basis of the signal pattern and combines the injectors (Y16 - Y19) into groups for actuation. The segment of the driven plate/flywheel (b) with permanent magnet (e) are used for detecting cylinders 2+3.
