1 Tapping off back-up lamp signal on back-up lamp switch:
Route 0.75 mm2lead from installation location of radio and navigation control module to engine compartment through rubber passage (arrow) for engine wiring harness and from there to rear of installation location for back-up lamp switch on transmission.
Cut off lead on back-up lamp switch.
Determine back-up lamp signal outlet on 2-pin connector for back-up lamp switch and connect newly routed lead to back-up lamp lead.
Connect lead to present leads and wiring harness. Avoid chafing points, if necessary install chafe guard.

2 Preparing 10-pin connector C for connecting to radio and navigation control module:
Insert newly routed lead from back-up lamp switch into chamber 3 of 10-pin connector C.
The illustration shows the connection side of the 10-pin radio connector.
3 Fabricate 0.75 mm2 lead with a length of 500 mm for connecting the pulse distributor.

4 Tapping off speed signal on connector P15.2 (light beige) of instrument cluster (P15):
Fabricate 0.75 mm2 lead with a length of 500 mm.
Remove connector P15.2 from instrument cluster and open switch housing.
Insert prefabricated lead into chamber 9 (speed signal outlet) of connector and reconnect connector to instrument cluster.
If chamber 9 is already assigned, connect prefabricated lead to present lead with a MB cutting clamp for wire cross section of 0.35 to 0.75 mm2. The illustration shows the connection side of the connector.

5 Preparing radio double connector for radio and navigation control module:
Unpin c. 30 from chamber 7 and unpin lead c. 15 from chamber 4 of radio connector A
Insert lead c. 30 into chamber 4 and lead c. 15 into chamber 7 of radio connector A
Insert speed signal lead for connector 1 on instrument cluster into chamber 1 of radio connector A.
The illustration shows the connector side of the radio double connector.
