1 Tap off backup lamp signal on backup lamp switch:
Route 0.75 mm2 lead from installation location of radio and navigation control module into engine compartment via rubber passage (arrow) of engine wiring harness and from there to rear installation location of backup lamp switch on transmission.
Cut off lead to backup lamp switch.
Determine output for backup lamp signal on 2-pin connector of backup lamp switch and connect newly routed lead to backup lamp lead.
Tie lead to present leads and wiring harnesses.Avoid chafing points, if necessary install chafe guard.

2 Prepare 10-pin radio connector C for connection to radio and navigation control module:
Insert newly routed lead from backup lamp switch into chamber 3 of 10-pin radio connector C.
The illustration shows the connection side of the 10-pin radio connector.
3 Fabricate five 0.75 mm2 leads with a length of 500 mm for connecting the pulse distributor.

4 Tap speed signal on 12-pin connector (black) of instrument cluster:
The speed signal should only be tapped off on the 12-pin connector for instrument cluster (P15) using a pulse distributor. It is not permissible to assign chamber 9 (speed signal output) twice.
Remove 12-pin connector 1 from instrument cluster and open switch housing.
Unpin lead from chamber 9 of connector.
Insert one of the prefabricated leads into chamber 9 instead of the unpinned lead and reconnect connector to instrument cluster.
Extend unpinned lead with one of the prefabricated leads.
The illustration shows the connection side of connector 1.

5 Prepare radio double connector for connecting to radio and navigation control module:
Unpin lead c. 30 from chamber 7, lead c. 15 from chamber 4 and lead c. 31 from chamber 8 of radio connector A.
Insert lead c. 30. in chamber 4 and lead c. 15 into chamber 7 of radio connector A together with one of the prefabricated leads.
Insert lead c. 31 into chamber 8 of radio connector 8 together with one of the prefabricated leads.
Insert fifth prefabricated lead for transmission of speed signal into chamber 1 of radio connector A.
The illustration shows the connection side of the radio double connector.
