Remove/install

Adjust driver seat and steering column all the way back

Switch on ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2 m)

Disconnect battery ground line

Insert screwdriver bit into openings (arrows) at back of steering wheel (1) and remove screws/bolts from driver airbag (2)

Lift driver airbag (2) from steering wheel (1)

Release and disconnect electrical connectors (3, 4)

 Removal lever

Remove driver airbag (2) from steering wheel (1)

Install in the reverse order



Check

9

Check and erase vehicle fault memory using the diagnostic system

When replacing the driver airbag (2).


