1 | Unscrew nuts (2) on both sides and remove hood (1) with aid of helper from hinges (3). | ||
| Install | ||
2 | Perform cavity preservation process for hood (1). | If hood (1) was replaced. | |
3 | Modify insulation (4) of hood (1). | If hood (1) was replaced. | |
4 | Modify all seals (5) and end stops of hood (1). | If hood (1) was replaced. | |
Installation: Check retaining clips (6) for damage. | |||

Replace respective retaining clip (6). | |||
5 | Attach new emblem badge. | If hood (1) was replaced. | |
6 | Affix vehicle- and country-specific stickers. | If hood (1) was replaced. | |
7 | Position hood (1) with aid of helper on hinges (3) and tighten with nuts (2). | Nut, engine hood to hinge | |
8 | Adjust engine hood (1). | ||
9 | Repair paintwork damage at nuts (2) with touch-up paint pen. |
