Removing and installing coolant circulation pump

Removal, installation

1

Detach heater (A6) from longitudinal frame member until circulation pump (A6m1) is free.

 Support heater before unscrewing nuts.

Pull cover (7) off of multi-point connector

Disconnect connector for circulation pump (6)

 The connector is coded and the polarity can therefore not be reversed.

 Danger!

Danger of severe burns to skin and eyes from hot coolant spewing out. Coolant is toxic when swallowed

Open cooling system only when coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cover slowly and reduce pressure. Do not fill beverage containers with coolant. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and protective goggles.

Release pressure in coolant circuit

 For this purpose turn cap on coolant expansion reservoir to catch position 1

5.1

Clamp off coolant inlet lines (5) to circulation pump (A6m1)



 Removal: When heater has been completely removed step 5 is not necessary.

Disconnect coolant feed lines (5) to circulation pump (A6m1)

 Installation: Add coolant running out to coolant expansion reservoir.

Unscrew screw (1) and unhook bracket (23)



 Installation: Hook in bracket first.

Loosen hose clamps (4) and disconnect coolant hose (3)

Reinstall in opposite order

Bleed coolant circuit after installing heater
