Never perform welding work on or near a closed air conditioning system. No smoking or open flames. Wear safety glasses and protective gloves. Work only in well ventilated areas. Carry out repair work on the air conditioning system circuit only after the system has been drained.

Fold up left trim of evaporator unit

Unscrew cover cap (1)

Close manually operated shutoff valves (screw in)

 The manually operated shutoff valves are located under the cover cap (1).

Unfasten and detach clamps (3)

Unscrew threaded connections (2) from filter drier (4)



Compressor oils (specification 362.0)

 Installation: Use new sealing rings. Coat sealing rings with compressor oil before installation in accordance with Specifications for Operating Fluids.

Detach filter drier (4)

 Installation:
Check packaging of filter drier (4) for signs of damage. Dispose of any filter driers (4) with damaged packaging.
The filter drier (4) must be installed immediately after opening the packaging.
Observe flow direction of filter drier (4).

Install in the reverse order

Drain air conditioning system

Only if the filter drier (4) has been replaced several times on account of the maintenance intervals and this has reduced the amount of refrigerant in the air conditioning circuit.
