Pressure-side testing and filling valve

 Danger

Risk of explosion caused by welding or soldering work on closed air conditioning system. Risk of poisoning caused by inhaling overheated refrigerant vapors. Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by contact with liquid refrigerant.

Never perform welding work on or near a closed air conditioning system. No smoking or open flames. Wear safety glasses and protective gloves. Work only in well ventilated areas. Carry out repair work on the air conditioning system circuit only after the system has been drained.

Unscrew plugs over pressure side test and filling valve (1) and intake side test and filling valve (3)

Connect pressure and suction line of air conditioning vacuum and recycling unit to pressure side test and filling valve (1) and to intake side test and filling valve (3)

 Observe operating instructions for air conditioning system vacuum and recycling unit.
Screw in shutoff valve at intake side test and filling valve (3) between 2 to 5 thread turns.

Extract refrigerant via pressure side test and filling valve (1) and intake side test and filling valve (3)

 Note the following:
Open valves at manometer of air conditioning vacuum and recycling unit slowly.
Pay attention to display message of air conditioning vacuum and recycling unit.
Extract refrigerant until there is no detectable weight increase to the extracted refrigerant.

Completely unscrew shutoff valve at intake side test and filling valve (3)

Remove pressure and suction line of air conditioning vacuum and recycling unit from test and filling valve, pressure side (1) and test and filling valve, intake side (3)

Screw plug onto pressure side test and filling valve (1) and intake side test and filling valve (3)

Close electromagnetic shutoff valve

Only if the electromagnetic shutoff valve has been opened with the aid of a magnet.

Remove electric line for energization of electromagnetic shutoff valve

Only if the electromagnetic shutoff valve has been opened by energization.
