Danger!

Risk of explosion from welding or soldering work on sealed air conditioning system. Risk of poisoning. Inhaling overheated refrigerant vapors may be toxic. Risk of injury. Contact with liquid refrigerant may result in injury to the skin and eyes.

Never perform welding work on or near a closed air conditioning system. No smoking or open flames. Wear eye protection and protective gloves. Work only in well ventilated areas. Carry out repair work on the air conditioning system circuit only after the system has been discharged.

Provide air conditioning extraction, processing and filling unit

*WE58.40-Z-1002-22A

2

Unscrew protective caps from test and filling valve, low-pressure side (1) and test and filling valve, high-pressure side (2)

3

Connect extraction and filling unit

See manufacturer's operating instructions.

Evacuating

4

Evacuate entire air conditioning system

See manufacturer's operating instructions.

Evacuate circuit of the air conditioning after the maximum vacuum has been reached for at least another 30 min.

Check

5

After the evacuation process, read the vacuum value at the vacuum pressure gauge

Note vacuum pressure value

6

Wait for 10 min and read off vacuum value at vacuum pressure gauge again

Compare current vacuum value to the recorded vacuum value.

If a vacuum reduction > 150 mbar can be detected:

Fill air conditioning system

After filling the air conditioning system, check for leaky areas:

AR83.30-A-1777B

Inspect the refrigeration circuit for leaks.

Before repairing leaky area empty air conditioning system:

Discharge air conditioning system

Check for leaky areas again after the repair work:

AR83.30-A-1780B

Repeat steps 3 to 6.
