Raise/support vehicle at front axle

 Secure vehicle at rear axle to prevent it rolling away on its own.

Use screwdriver to pry off end cover from steering wheel

Remove bolt (8) and remove retainer (6)



Adjust pressure reduction valves for right and left steer (4, 5) one after the other

Screw pressure reduction valve all the way in up to the end stop

 For adjustment of the right steer, pressure reduction valve (R).

For adjustment of the left steer, pressure reduction valve (L).

 The steering must be in the central position when screwing in the pressure reduction valves.

Unscrew pressure reduction valve by two-and-a-half turns

 For adjustment of the right steer, pressure reduction valve (R).

For adjustment of the left steer, pressure reduction valve (L).

 As the valve is under high pressure, it must not be unscrewed more than two-and-a-half turns when the engine is running.

Danger!

Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running

Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Start engine and allow to run at increased idle speed

 At engine rpm of approx. 800 rpm.

Mount socket onto nut of steering wheel and insert torque wrench

Turn steering wheel using torque wrench against the end stop

 Turn to right for right steer adjustment or to the left for a left steer adjustment.

Hold the torque wrench in this position when the specified torque of 60 Nm is reached.

Screw in pressure reduction valve until the pressure on the pressure gauge drops to the specified value and no longer increases

 For adjustment of the right steer, pressure reduction valve (R).

For adjustment of the left steer, pressure reduction valve (L).

Turn off engine

Press end cover onto steering wheel

Lower vehicle at front axle
