Release parking brake

Only necessary if the brake drums (2) of the rear axle are removed.

Danger!

Risk of injury caused by pinching or crushing when working on springs or spring bodies that are under load

Use only approved tensioning devices; shield off hazard area if necessary.
Inspect special tools for damage and proper operation (visual inspection).
Wear protective gloves.

Detach spring-loaded cylinder mechanically

Only necessary if the brake drums (2) of the rear axle are removed. Do this by removing the bolt on the spring-loaded cylinder all the way.

Mark the installation position of the brake drum (2) relative to the wheel hub (3)

Remove brake drum (2)

Do this by screwing three bolts into the tapped holes (4) and prying the brake drum (2) from the wheel hub (3).

If there is not enough clearance to remove the brake drum (2), the brake shoes must be moved back by turning the bolt (1) counter-clockwise.

Installation: Pay attention to the marked installation position of the brake drum (2) relative to the wheel hub (3).
