	Remove
1	Remove propeller shaft (1)		AR41.10-D-0050H
2	Mark flange (5) or front propeller shaft with universal joint (8) and propeller shaft (1) relative to each other	 The splined profile of the propeller shaft (1) and flange (5) or front propeller shaft with universal joint (8) is paired and must be installed again relative to each other.
3	Remove circlip (6)
4	Detach front propeller shaft with universal joint (8) and propeller shaft intermediate bearing (3) from propeller shaft (1)	For 3-piece propeller shaft (1).  If the splined profile is seated too firmly, use a plastic mallet to drive front propeller shaft with universal joint (8) and propeller shaft intermediate bearing (3) from the splined profile of the propeller shaft (1).
5	Detach propeller shaft intermediate bearing (3)	For single-piece propeller shaft (1).	AR41.10-D-0101-02H

6	Check all parts for wear and damage	 Replace parts if necessary.
	Install
7	Press on propeller shaft intermediate bearing (3)	 Make sure when removing a propeller shaft intermediate bearing (3) with shim (7) that the new propeller shaft intermediate bearing (3) is also installed with a shim (7). If this is not observed humming, droning and starting noise may be heard.

8	Coat splines of propeller shaft (1) with MB multipurpose grease.	MB multipurpose grease	*BR00.45-Z-1017-06A
9	Drive off flange (5) or front propeller shaft with universal joint (8) using plastic mallet on propeller shaft (1)	 The previously made markings must line up with each other.
10	Remove secreted MB multipurpose grease	 The rubber web on the propeller shaft intermediate bearing (3) is not resistant to grease.
11	Install circlip (6).	 Install new circlip (6). Pay attention to the correct seat of the circlip (6) in the radial groove. Dimension "a" must not be larger than specified.
12	Install propeller shaft (1)		AR41.10-D-0050H
