1 Press flange (3) with propeller shaft intermediate bearing (2) off propeller shaft (1).
Use suitable drift for this.
D41.40-0002-01
2 Use drift to pry propeller shaft intermediate bearing (2) and protective cap (if fitted) from flange (3).
Only perform this operation step if the flange (3) was not replaced. Support propeller shaft intermediate bearing (2) underneath with suitable square profiles (5).

3 Check protective cap (4) on propeller shaft and, replace if necessary.
If damaged, use punch to drive protective cap (4) off propeller shaft.
