Raise vehicle.



Remove rear axle carrier (4) with rear axle differential (50).

Remove rear axle differential (50) from rear axle carrier (4).

Remove screws (52b) from heat sink (52a) and remove heat sink (52a).

 Bolt, heat sink to end cover

Release and disconnect electrical connector of differential lock actuator motor.

Remove bolts(52s) and remove end cover(52).


Do not drive the prying tool in between the end cover (52) and the rear axle differential (50).
The sealing surface will be damaged otherwise.

 Installation:

The guide lug of the end cover (52) must latch into the positioning bracket (51).
Otherwise, the rear axle differential (50) will be damaged.

 Installation: Apply sealant to the sealing surface on the end cover (52).

Clean sealing surfaces on rear axle differential (50) and end cover (52).

Assembly cleaner

Install in the reverse order.

Check rear axle differential(50) for leak tightness.
