Remove/install

Remove rear axle

When removing the right-hand tie rod (1).

Remove left rear wheel

When removing left tie rod (1).

Remove left underfloor paneling in area of tie rod (1)

When removing left tie rod (1).

Mark installation position of eccentric disk (2)

 The toe-in is set at the factory using the eccentric disk (2).

Remove tie rod (1) from rear axle carrier (3)

 Installation: Observe the marking on the eccentric disk (2).

 Self-locking nut, tie rod to rear axle carrier

Detach tie rod (1) from wheel carrier (4) and remove

 Bolt, tie rod to wheel carrier

 Screwdriver bit

Check

Check tie rod (1) for condition and signs of damage

If a problem arises



Replace tie rod (1).

Install in the reverse order

Perform wheel alignment check
