	Disassemble
1	Remove pinion housing (8) with drive pinion (13)		AR33.30-W-0469A
2	Remove sensor (6)	 If present.
3	Release collar nut (1)	 The locking tab must be sheared off completely, as small remains of the locking tab can damage the thread of the shaft when unscrewing the collar nut (1).	AR33.30-W-0085-06A
4	Remove connector flange (2)		*001589750900

5	Press drive pinion (13) out of pinion housing (8)
6	Detach shim (10) from drive pinion (13)	 Mark installed position.
7	Remove radial shaft sealing ring (3) from pinion housing (8)
8	Remove outer tapered roller bearing (4) from pinion housing (8)
9	Detach inner tapered roller bearing (12) from drive pinion (13)		*000589553400

10	Drive oil retainer (9) out of pinion housing (8)	 Mark installed position.
11	Remove inner outer race (11) and outer outer race (5) from pinion housing (8)		*000589163300
	Assemble
12	Install outer outer race (5), oil retainer (9) and inner outer race (11) in pinion housing (8)	 Use a suitable drift for driving in. Observe installation position of oil retainer (9).
13	Determine thickness of shim (10) on drive pinion		AR33.30-W-0470-03A

14	Heat up inner tapered roller bearing (12) to approx. 80 °C and push all the way onto drive pinion (13)	 If necessary, drive home at the inner race of inner tapered roller bearing (12) using a suitable drift.
15	Fit determined shim (10) on drive pinion (13)	 Observe the installation position of the shim (10).
16	Place pinion housing (8) on drive pinion (13)
 Danger!	Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by handling hot or glowing objects.	Wear safety gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses, if necessary.	AS00.00-Z-0002-01A
17	Heat up outer tapered roller bearing (4) to approx. 80 °C and push all the way onto drive pinion (13)	 If necessary, drive home at the inner race of outer tapered roller bearing (4) using a suitable drift.
18	Check friction torque of tapered roller bearings; adjust if necessary		AR33.30-W-0470-04A

19	Install radial shaft sealing ring (3) in pinion housing (8)	 Use the drift without the spacer ring.

20	Attach coupling flange (2)	 Oil the gearing of the drive pinion (13). Use a new collar nut (1).
