1 | Drain off front axle differential oil. | ||

2 | Remove corresponding front axle shaft. | ||
3 | Remove radial shaft sealing ring(1) using suitable tool. | | |
4 | Clean seat and sealing area of radial shaft sealing ring(1). | Assembly cleaner | |
5 | Check seat and sealing area of radial shaft sealing ring(1) in front axle differential(2) for damage and galling. | If damage and galling is detectable. | |

Replace front axle differential(2). | |||
| Install | ||
6 | Apply coating of grease to sealing and dust lip of new radial shaft sealing ring (1). | Molykote BR 2 plus grease | |
7 | Moisten circumference of radial shaft sealing ring(1) with transmission oil. | ||
| Commercial vehicle hypoid gear oil mineral oil (specification 235.20) | ||
8 | Position radial shaft sealing ring(1) on seat in front axle differential(2). | ||
9 | Press in radial shaft sealing ring(1) until the radial shaft sealing ring(1) fits flush with the rear end stop in the front axle differential(2). | Drift set | |
Handle | |||
10 | Install corresponding front axle shaft. | ||
11 | Add front axle differential oil. | ||

Check for leak test first before fully lowering vehicle with vehicle lift. | |||
12 | Check the front axle differential(2) in the area of the replaced radial shaft sealing ring(1) for leak tightness. | ||
13 | Lower vehicle using vehicle lift completely. |
