Risk of injury to skin and eyes due to handling of transmission oil. Health risk caused by swallowing transmission oil

Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.
Do not pour transmission oil into beverage bottles.

Remove/install

Remove left and right front axle shaft.

Remove lower engine compartment paneling.

 Installation: Install lower engine compartment lining only after correcting the front axle transmission fluid level.

Remove propeller shaft from front axle differential (6).

Unscrew nuts (4).

 Nut, diesel particulate filter elastomer bearing bracket to body

Remove crossmember (7).

 To do this, remove screws (2).

 Bolt/nut, frame to cross member

Detach bleed line from front axle differential (6).

 Plug openings.

 Hose clamp pliers

Support front axle differential (6) with major assembly mount and support plate.



Remove screw (1).

 Nut/bolt, front axle transmission to body

Remove screws (3, 5).

 Nut/bolt, front axle transmission to body

Remove front axle differential (6).

 For this, lower and remove front axle differential (6) with major assembly mount and support plate.

Install in the reverse order.



Check

Check front axle transmission fluid level.
