Remove/install

Remove front brake disk

Remove front axle brake cover plate

Only when replacing the steering knuckle (2).

Remove left front rpm sensor (L6/1) or right front rpm sensor (L6/2) from steering knuckle (2)

 Do not completely remove left front rpm sensor (L6/1) or right front rpm sensor (L6/2).

Remove ball head (4) from steering knuckle (2)

Mark position of steering knuckle (2) relative to suspension strut

 The marking makes the subsequent camber adjustment easier.

Remove screw/bolt (6)

 Bolt with nut, steering knuckle to transverse control arm

Unscrew cam bolt (7)

 Installation: Replace cam bolt (7) and nut. Only tighten with torque of 1st stage. Tightening to the 2nd to 4th stage is conducted during the wheel alignment check.

Remove collar bolt (8)

 Installation: Replace collar bolt (8) and nut. Only tighten with torque of 1st stage. Tightening to the 2nd to 4th stage is conducted during the wheel alignment check.

Remove transverse control arm (9) from steering knuckle (2)
