Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Remove/install

Remove transverse control arm (29) on steering knuckle (6)

 For this purpose, unscrew bolt (6c) and remove supporting joint from steering knuckle (6).

 Bolt with nut, steering knuckle to transverse control arm

Remove transverse control arm (29)

 For this purpose unscrew bolts (29b).

 Bolt with nut, transverse control arm to subframe

Check

Check condition of transverse control arm (29)

 Check rivets (arrows) for absolutely tight seating and check the supporting ball joint and seal bellows for wear. If worn or damaged, replace transverse control arm (29).

Check condition of the bearings

In case of wear or damage:



Renew bearing.

Remove/install rubber bushing on transverse control arm
