Before starting the engine, actuate brake pedal several times until pressure is built up and maintained in the brake system.

Remove/install

Remove each front wheel

Remove front axle brake pads

If the brake disks (61) are replaced.

Replace brake linings

Detach floating brake caliper carrier (33) with floating brake caliper (31) and tie up securely

Do not loosen brake hose.

Bolt, floating brake caliper support to swivel bearing

Remove bolt (64)

Installation: Replace bolt (64).

Screw/bolt, brake disk to wheel hub

Remove brake disk (61)

Block brake disk (61), if necessary, and release by applying light hammer blows to the flange.

Clean

Clean brake surfaces and contact surfaces of brake disk (61)

Clean flange of wheel hub

8

Apply light coating of grease to contact surface for centering brake disk (61) on wheel hub.

Long-life grease

Check

Check condition of brake disk (61).

Check lining thickness of brake pads and condition of brake disks

Carry out brake test on the test stand
