Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Place the vehicle on a suitable lift

 The most convenient and safe way to work under this vehicle is using a lift with adequate capacity.
Subsequently, to remove and install the suspension components of each axle, the vehicle should be supported by the frame, both at the front and at the rear, on four or six large brackets.

If necessary, remove the wheels

 When using a proper lift, removing the wheels is not necessary.

Lift the front axle so that the struts are not stressed

Remove the bolts (11) in the front part, the fastening bolts and nuts (10) of front axle (7) and remove the two lower longitudinal bars (4)

Remove the fastening bolts (6) in the front part, the fastening bolts (5) from the armature support (8) in the front axle (7) and remove the two upper longitudinal bars (1)

 Pay attention during knock-down as normally caster setting washers, with controlled dimensions, are placed in the front fastening of the upper longitudinal bars. In these cases, take note of the washers thickness dimensions to be used during assemblage.

In order to replace the armature support (8) fastened to the front axle (7) remove the self-locking nuts and bolts (9)

 Installation: Use new self-locking nuts for the screws (9).
Tighten the screws and nuts sequentially.

In order to remove the main support of the front axle, it is necessary to have removed previously, the following items:

Clean

Clean the components of the tensioning bars and fastening supports

 During the cleaning, avoid allowing the bearings to contact solvents or other detergent liquids.
Eliminate any signs of rust from the contact surface and apply a light layer of mold lubricant to avoid oxidation.

Check

Check all the components of the tensioning bars and articulation support axles for damages

Replace:



Damaged or deformed struts.

Damaged adapters (eye) of the bars.

Worn rubber buffers and bushings, in case they show wear.

Installation in reverse order

Check

Check all steering adjustment values on both the front and rear axles corresponding to the vehicle

 use a suitable updated alignment device.
