Empty pressure system

Detach drag link

Only applies to steering 765.83/84/86.

Remove ABS sensor

Disconnect sensor line connector (8) of brake wear sensor.

 Without sensor line connector (8) - unplug brake wear sensor connector (7) directly.

Detach compressed-air lines (3) from brake cylinders

With compressed air connection system "VOSS 230".

With compressed air connection system "VOSS 232" (NG 8, 12) or "SCHÄFER SDF" (NG 6).

 Installation: Check O-rings and replace if necessary.



Disconnect shock absorber (1) from front axle



Secure front axle to prevent it falling

Remove spring bracket (4), spring seat (5) and spring support (6)

 Place stabilizer bar (9) down.



Lower front axle and pull out from under the vehicle

 Installation: lightly grease mounting bores for center bolts with leaf spring grease. Raise the front axle so that the center bolts locate in the mounting hole.

Install in the reverse order

Check steering lock, adjust if necessary.
