Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Risk of death from lowering vehicle when working between wheels and body. Risk of injury from pinching or crushing when working on the air suspension.

Testing and repair work between the wheel and wheel arch or in the wheel well should only be performed if the vehicle is secured using suitable support fixtures to prevent it from lowering.
Adjustment operations should only be performed from underneath the vehicle.
Use only suitable support fixtures to secure the vehicle frame or vehicle axles in order to prevent them from lowering.
If necessary, additionally use suitable support fixtures in order to prevent other moving vehicle parts that are in the working area from lowering, or use suitable retaining devices to prevent these parts from moving suddenly and without warning.
Secure areas with moving vehicle parts against unauthorized access.

Empty air suspension.

Remove spare wheel.

If the spare wheel is mounted just before the cover (11).

Remove cover(11).

 To do so, unclip retaining clips (12).

 Installation: Check retaining clips (12) for damage.

If damage is found,



replace affected retaining clips (12).

Remove compressed-air line (1) between compressor (2) and valve unit (3).

 Installation:
Route compressed-air line (1) as shown.
Otherwise, the compressed-air line (1) will be damaged.

 Removal: For this, sever compressed-air line (1), unscrew union nuts (4) from compressor (2) and valve unit (3) and remove remaining compressed-air line (1).

 Installation: Replace compressed-air line (1).

 Installation: Slide compressed-air line (1) up to end stop in the corresponding compressed-air connections at compressor (2) and valve unit (3).

Remove left air suspension bellows (5).

Remove compressed-air line (6) between left air suspension bellows (5) and valve unit (3).

 Installation:
Route compressed-air line (6) as shown.
Otherwise, the compressed-air line (6) will be damaged.

 Removal: For this, sever compressed-air line (6), unscrew union nuts (4) from left air suspension bellows (5) and valve unit (3) and remove remaining compressed-air line (6).

 Installation: Replace compressed-air line (6) and cable ties.

 Installation: Slide compressed-air line (6) up to end stop in corresponding compressed-air connections at left air suspension bellows (5) and at valve unit (3).

Remove right air suspension bellows (7).

Route compressed-air line (8) as shown.
Otherwise, the compressed-air line (8) will be damaged.

 Removal: For this, sever compressed-air line (8), unscrew union nuts (4) from right air suspension bellows (7) and valve unit (3) and remove remaining compressed-air line (8).

 Installation: Replace compressed-air line (8) and cable ties.

 Installation: Slide compressed-air line (8) up to end stop in corresponding compressed-air connections at right air suspension bellows (7) and at valve unit (3).

Remove compressed-air line (9) between compressed-air reservoir (10) and valve unit (3).

 Installation:
Route compressed-air line (9) as shown.
Otherwise, the compressed-air line (9) will be damaged.

 Removal: For this, sever compressed-air line (9), unscrew union nuts (4) from compressed-air reservoir (10) and from valve unit (3) and remove remaining compressed-air line (9).

 Installation: Replace compressed-air line (9) and cable ties.

 Installation: Slide compressed-air line (9) up to end stop in corresponding compressed-air connections at compressed-air reservoir (10) and at valve unit (3).
