Risk of death from lowering vehicle when working between wheels and body. Risk of injury from pinching or crushing when working on the air suspension.

Testing and repair work between the wheel and wheel arch or in the wheel well should only be performed if the vehicle is secured using suitable support fixtures to prevent it from lowering.
Adjustment operations should only be performed from underneath the vehicle.
Use only suitable support fixtures to secure the vehicle frame or vehicle axles in order to prevent them from lowering.
If necessary, additionally use suitable support fixtures in order to prevent other moving vehicle parts that are in the working area from lowering, or use suitable retaining devices to prevent these parts from moving suddenly and without warning.
Secure areas with moving vehicle parts against unauthorized access.

Raise vehicle lift until the vehicle lift supports make slight contact with the application points on the body.

Remove remote control (11) from holder.

 The button lay-out of the new version of remote control (11) is functionally identical to the button lay-out of the old version of remote control (11).

Operate parking brake.

Switch on ignition.

Press "SERVICE" (3) button.

Press button combination on remote control (11).

 Button combination:
"M1" (1) button 
"M2" (2) button 
Raise button (6) 
Lower button (5) 
"FRONT REAR." button (4)

 Remote control (11) emits an acoustic signal and all the button LEDs or button symbols light up briefly one after the other.

 Discharge mode is activated.

Press "FRONT REAR" (4) button.

 Button LED or button symbol of lower button (5) lights up.

Press Lower button (5) and vent compressed air from right air suspension bellows.

 Do not begin the next step until the compressed air has completely escaped from the right air suspension bellows and the discharge noise can no longer be heard.

Press "FRONT REAR" (4) button.

 Button LED or button symbol of button "M2" (2) lights up.

Press Lower button (5) and vent compressed air from left air suspension bellows.

 Do not begin the next step until the compressed air has completely escaped from the left air suspension bellows and the discharge noise can no longer be heard.

Press "SERVICE" (3) button.

 Discharge mode is deactivated.

 Service mode is activated.

 Do not begin the next step until the right air suspension bellows has been completely filled with compressed air and the filling noise can no longer be heard.

Press Raise button (6) and fill left air suspension bellows with compressed air.

 Do not begin the next step until the left air suspension bellows has been completely filled with compressed air and the filling noise can no longer be heard.
