Remove torque converter housing (2) from transmission housing (1)

 Make sure that the K1 multiplate clutch (8) does not fall out.

Remove screws from B1 multidisk brake to oil pump (5)

Remove screws from B1 multidisk brake to torque converter housing (4)

 Installation: Check intermediate panel (6) on torque converter housing (2); replace if necessary. Do not coat intermediate panel (6) with sealant.

Remove B1 multidisk brake (9)



Check

Check B1 multidisk brake (9) for worn and burnt disks

 Replace worn or burnt disks:



Disassemble/assemble multi-disk brake B1

Check sealing rings (7) of B1 multidisk brake (9); replace if necessary

Install in the reverse order

 Warning

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.
