Remove/install

Remove air filter housing.

Remove bleed line.

 To do so, remove bleed line from holder and detach from dual-clutch transmission (1).

Detach electrical wiring harness (9) on top side of dual-clutch transmission (1).

Detach shift cable (6) from dual-clutch transmission (1).

 Unhook the shift cable (6) from the ball heads only.

Raise vehicle.

Remove front section of left fender liner.

Remove engine stabilizer mount.

Remove front axle shafts.

Detach holder (7) with shift cable (6) from dual-clutch transmission (1).

 To do so, remove screws (8).

Remove crankshaft position sensor.

Remove bracket (11).

 To do so, unscrew screw (10) and remove nut (12).

Remove front crossmember.

Remove electrical wiring harness (9) in downward direction.

Remove screw (13) of ground line.

 Bolt, ground line to transmission housing

Remove starter from dual-clutch transmission (1).

 Do not remove electrical lines. The starter remains in the vehicle.

Attach engine support fixture diagonally.

Lower vehicle.

Remove left engine carrier.

Remove bolt (2).

Remove screw (5).

Remove nut (4).

Remove stud bolt (3).

Raise vehicle.

Lower engine using engine support fixture.


Lower engine only far enough to gain access to the dual-clutch transmission (1).
Otherwise damage may occur to the right engine mount.

Remove stud bolt (14).

 To do so, loosen the nut (15) and unscrew the stud bolt (14).

Remove bolts (16).

 Screw, automatic transmission to crankcase/oil pan

Remove dual-clutch transmission.

 To do so, remove dual-clutch transmission (1) from crankcase and turn 90° counterclockwise.

 Get a second person to help.

Install in the reverse order.



Check

Check dual-clutch transmission oil level.

Correct dual-clutch transmission oil level.
