Remove/install

Remove engine with transmission (1).

Remove purge control valve(Y58/1).

 Warning

Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Remove coolant hose (6) from transmission oil cooling coolant circulation pump (M13/7).

Release and disconnect electrical connector from transmission oil cooling coolant circulation pump (M13/7) and unclip electric line from holder.

Secure starter (M1) using suitable means to prevent it from falling down.

Remove screws (2) from starter (M1).

Release and disconnect electrical connector from crankshaft Hall sensor (B70).

Unclip retaining clip (5) of electric line.

Remove screws (3) from transmission (1).

 Screw, coupling housing to engine

Mount boom crane with lifting gear onto transmission (1) and lift slightly.

Remove engine support fixture from transmission (1).

Remove screw (4) from transmission (1).

Pull out transmission (1) toward rear.

 Aid of helper required.

 Installation: Apply coating of lubricant to teeth of dual clutch.

Place transmission (1) onto suitable base.

Remove boom crane with lifting gear from transmission (1).
