Remove bottom and top sections of soundproofing capsule

Remove cover of running board above the transmission (1)

Remove cab mount suspension strut (8)

 Only with code (F04) cab L (long).

Detach gate shift cylinder (3) with lines installed on transmission (1) and place to one side

 The gearshift must be in neutral.

Detach gear shift cylinder (4) with lines attached on transmission (1) and place to one side

Detach range group shift cylinder with lines attached and put to one side

Detach compressed-air line (9) from distributor

Detach electrical wiring harness (5) at transmission (1) and place to one side

Unplug connector from speed sensor (B17)

Unscrew bolts (6) on left and right support arm

Detach propeller shaft (7) at output flange of transmission (1) and place to one side

Disconnect adapter or connections on PTO

Detach lines for transmission oil cooling on transmission (1) and put to one side

 Only with code (N55) Transmission oil cooling.

Remove clamps (11) for fastening the battery lines (10) and put the battery lines (10) to one side

Extract hydraulic oil from the expansion reservoir of the clutch master cylinder



Detach hydraulic hose of clutch (13) on transmission (1)

 Catch escaping hydraulic fluid.



Lift the transmission (1) approx. 20 mm using the engine hoist
and support the engine at the timing case

 When lifting pay attention to the fan on the engine.

Unscrew bolts of transmission (1) on engine, pull transmission (1) out of the timing case and lift out upwards

 When pulling out ensure that the electric and pneumatic lines are not damaged.

Install

Remove cap (17) on gear module (18) and engage any gear

Driver (transmission emergency shifting)

Move the transmission (1) into the installation position from above using the engine hoist

 When pulling out ensure that the electric and pneumatic lines are not damaged.

Push transmission (1) into the timing case, turning at the output flange in the process

 When pulling out ensure that the electric and pneumatic lines are not damaged.

Tighten bolts of transmission (1) to engine



Move gearshift into neutral with the drive plate on the gear module (18) and install new cap (17)

Driver (transmission emergency shifting)

Lift the transmission (1) with the transmission jack
approx 20 mm, remove the support on the timing case and lower the transmission (1) onto the rear engine mounts

 When lifting pay attention to the fan on the engine.

Position the battery lines (10) and install clamps (11)

Attach lines for transmission oil cooling to transmission (1)

Install adapter or connections on power takeoff

Install propeller shaft (7) on output flange of transmission (1)
