Removing

1

Remove engine or transmission

 Select the procedure according to the design and accessibility.

Attach commercial vehicle pressure plate assembly device to clutch pressure plate (1)

Remove bolts (2), lift out clutch pressure plate (1) using commercial vehicle pressure plate assembly device and remove clutch plate (6)

 Loosen the bolts (2) in small stages diagonally in order to avoid a one-sided load on the clutch pressure plate (1).

Detach commercial vehicle pressure plate assembly device

Check clutch parts for wear and damage

Clean

Clean profile grooves in the clutch plate (6) and clean hub profile of the transmission input shaft

 In order to prevent the clutch plate (6) from jamming, do not grease the nickel-plated hub surface of the clutch plate (6).

Clean central clutch release bearing

Clean guide bearing (4) in flywheel (5)



Install

9

Insert centering drift (3) into guide bearing (4) in flywheel (5)

 Centering drift (3) for guide bearing (4) with inner Ø of 20 mm

Center clutch plate (6) on flywheel (5) using centering drift (3)

Attach commercial vehicle pressure plate assembly device to clutch pressure plate (1)

Install clutch pressure plate (1) using commercial vehicle pressure plate assembly device over centering drift (3)

Tighten the bolts (2) in small stages in a crosswise pattern

 When doing so, it must always be possible to move the centering drift (3) slightly.



Detach commercial vehicle pressure plate assembly device

Remove centering drift (3)

Install transmission or engine

Connect Star Diagnosis

Teach in automatic gear control (AGS) control unit

On vehicles with code (GE1) Automatic gear control (AGS) and if clutch has been replaced
