 Warning

Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Remove/install

Remove engine cover.



Unclip air duct segment (2) and remove.

Remove charge air line (1).

Drain off coolant.

Release and disconnect electrical connection (3).

Remove coolant hoses (5, 7) from coolant thermostat (4), place to one side and seal.

Remove coolant hoses (6, 8) from coolant thermostat (4), place to one side and seal.

 Hose clamp pliers

Remove screws (9).

 Bolt, coolant thermostat to coolant pump

Disassemble coolant thermostat (4) from coolant pump and remove.

Remove sealing ring.

 Installation: Replace sealing ring.

Install in the reverse order.
