 Warning

Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Remove/install

Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (min. 2 m).

Remove air intake pipe.

Drain off coolant.

Release and disconnect electrical connector (6).

Remove the coolant line bracket from the coolant thermostat (1).

Remove the coolant hoses (4, 5) from the coolant thermostat (1) and place to one side.

Remove the coolant hoses (3, 7) from the coolant thermostat (1) and place to one side.

Unscrew bolts (2).

 Bolt, coolant thermostat to coolant pump

Disassemble and remove the coolant thermostat (1) from the coolant pump.

 Installation: Replace sealing ring.

Install in the reverse order

 Metric screws/bolts and nuts as per MBN 10 105, 10 143
