 Warning

Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Remove/install

Remove air intake pipe.

Drain off coolant.

Release electrical connector(1) and disconnect.

Unscrew the screw (2) and remove the bracket (3) from the coolant thermostat (9).

Remove coolant hoses (6, 7) from coolant thermostat (9), place to one side and seal them.

Remove coolant hoses (4, 5) from coolant thermostat (9), place to one side and seal them.

 Record plug

Remove screws (8).

 Bolt, coolant thermostat to coolant pump

Disassemble and remove the coolant thermostat (9) from the coolant pump.

 Installation: Replace sealing ring.

Install in the reverse order.

 Metric screws/bolts and nuts as per MBN 10 105, 10 143
