Drain the coolant



Replace coolant

Unscrew the bolts of the coolant pump (2)

Slacken the Poly-V belt (1) and remove it from the coolant pump pulley (2)

Remove the coolant pump pulley (2)

Remove the support (3)

 .Support in the cooling pump

Remove the flexible coolant pipe (6) at the connection housing (8)

Remove the engine ventilation flexible pipe (7) at the oil separator

Remove the bolts of the connection housing (8) and lift out the sealing gasket (9)

 Installation: Replace the sealing gasket (9) and tighten also the support of the engine vent flexible pipe (7).

 .Connection part of the cooling pump in the thermostatic valve head/cover

Detach the electric connector (10) and move it aside

Remove the coolant piping (12) at the coolant pump (4)

 Installation: Replace sealing rings.

Remove the coolant piping (13) at the coolant pump (4)

Remove the coolant flexible piping (17) at the coolant piping (16)

Remove the coolant pump (4) with the coolant piping (16) and the connection housing (8)

 Installation:Clean the sealing surfaces and replace the sealing gasket (11).

Remove the connection housing (8) and the coolant piping (16) from the coolant pump (4)

 Installation:Replace the connection piece (5) and the seal ring (15).

Remove the thermostat (14)

Check coolant thermostat

 In case of irregularities in the thermostat (14):
Check the thermostatic valve

 Installation: Replace seal rings. Observe the assembly position of the thermostat (14) in the coolant pump (4). The ventilation opening has face up.
