Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Check

Remove interior flap above engine

Turn cooling system cap (1) on expansion reservoir (2) a half turn counterclockwise, relieve the overpressure and then unscrew the cooling system cap (1)

Check coolant level in cooler (2), correct if necessary



 Fill cooling system up to the upper edge of the cooler (2).

Attach pressure pump to cooler (2)

Apply a pressure of a max. 1.6 bar to the cooling system

Observe pressure gauge on pressure pump for pressure drop in cooling system

Check all components of cooling system for leaktightness and establish coolant loss

 Remove cause of the coolant loss if necessary; then repeat the check.

Remove pressure in the cooling system on the pressure pump

Attach pressure pump to cooler (2)

Seal cooler (2) with cap (1)
