Remove/install

Remove lower engine compartment paneling

Suction off engine oil



Release and disconnect outer electrical connection on oil level check switch (S43)

Remove oil pan bottom section

Detach retaining clip (5) from oil pan (4)

Remove screw/bolt (2) and take out cable boot (6) from oil pan (4)

 Installation: Replace O-ring of cable boot (6).

 Screw/bolt, oil level switch connector to oil pan top section

Remove screw/bolts (3) and remove oil level check switch (S43) from bracket

 Screw/bolt, oil level switch to bracket

Install in the reverse order

Read out fault memory using the diagnostic system and clear if necessary


