Remove/install oil pump

Removing

Remove oil pan

Undo bracket (1, 2) on oil suction pipe (3) and remove from crankcase

Remove oil suction pipe (3) from oil pump (4)

Remove oil pressure relief valve (5) with protective cap (6) from oil pump (4)

 Collect engine oil that flows out.

Remove oil pump (4) on crankcase



Checking

Check oil pump (4) for signs of wear

 Dismantle oil pump (4) only when complaint refers to insufficient engine oil pressure:



Disassemble/assemble oil pump (4).

Check oil pressure relief valve (5) for chips and foreign bodies, then press in the piston (5.1) and check for ease of movement and tensioning force of the spring

The oil pressure relief valve (5) must not be disassembled. In the event of a complaint, replace the oil pressure valve (5).

Clean and check sieve on oil suction pipe (3)

 If damaged, replace oil suction pipe (3).



Install

Clean sealing surfaces with a lint-free rag

Mount oil pump (4) onto crankcase



Mount oil pressure relief valve (5) with protective cap (6) onto oil pump (4)



Mount oil suction pipe (3) onto oil pump (4)

 Installation: Install new gasket.



Tighten bracket (1, 2) on oil suction pipe (3)
